Jenny Hoban is the Founder of Summit Innovation Lab, a STEM center located in Boise, Idaho. With a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Child Development, specializing in administration, her academic journey has been deeply rooted in nurturing young minds.
Jenny’s career took a significant turn when she became the manager of seven Head Start Programs in Chicago. There she dedicated herself to making quality education accessible to all.
Certified in the Wilson Reading Method, Jenny has always been passionate about finding ways to support learning.
Idaho stem education
The inception of Summit Innovation Lab was fueled by Jenny’s desire to make coding, engineering, and robotics accessible to students everywhere.
What truly lights her up is seeing the spark of curiosity in students as they explore new concepts. Her love for what she does stems from the joy of watching young learners try new things. She also appreciates the power of education in shaping futures. Jenny is passionate about Idaho STEM education.
Describing herself in one word, she’d choose “innovative”—a trait that not only defines her professional approach but also her view of life. Always seeking new solutions, Jenny believes in the power of innovation to create positive change.
When she’s not immersed in the world of STEM education, you can find her cycling, running, or dedicating her time to a cause close to her heart.
Jenny runs a nonprofit organization focused on supporting families dealing with pediatric cancer diagnoses. She also drives research to find a cure for Neuroblastoma—a cause inspired by her daughter, a brave Neuroblastoma survivor. These endeavors reflect her belief in the power of community and the importance of giving back.
Jenny’s love for romantic comedies, the compelling narratives of Jane Green’s books, and the exhilaration of heavy-beated pop music are a few facets of her personality. These preferences, along with her innovative spirit, paint a picture of who she is beyond her professional life.
